The Alkari are the pacifists of MOO2. In the Average & easier difficulties, they will rarely declare war or attack another player. If you are playing a non-repulsive race, they will almost always seek treaties and eventually an alliance. In harder difficulties, they are still less likely to start a war than other races. Overall, they can be easily wiped-out, and capturing their homeworld will give a nice little research bonus with its Ancient Artifacts special.
